Bob Goodman
Hello,

For Sale:
I have a Javelin 18 gallon auxillary tank, electric pump, 10 amp c.b., filler flange, gas cap, filler hose, electric fuel gauge, fuel level sending unit (might be inop.?), plywood cover, and some of the required fuel lines. Will include photo copies of Javelin installation instructions and photo copies of the blueprints.

You will need some hose, a tee, wire, to make some placards, and the desire to open up your interior and remove your rear seat to do the install. The interior and rear seat go back in also. Installation instructions are better than some and worse than others, but I figured it out so you should be able to also. See the Fourms for further discussion.

I can e-mail detailed pictures if desired.

Best thing is that it does not require a Field Approval, since it is listed on the type certificate!

$3,000.00 + crating and shipping from Tacoma, Washington (TIW).

Where does it say its listed? I've reviewed the TCDS and I don't see anything about it being on there. Did you mean the MM? I don't have a copy of that if its listed there.

Tyler,

The Javelin is listed on my 1954 Cessna 170B as optional equipment, and I assumed the same was true for the 175. I am sorry if I posted inaccurate information.

I will review the paperwork from Javelin to see if there is an approval basis there, and post a reply.

I have sold the tank, and I now lives in another 170.

Thanks,
Bob

Tyler,

You were correct. Per the Javelin information, the approval basis for the 175 is STC SA3-285, not the type certificate.

Thanks,
Bob
