I see a pair of 175 wings complete on Barnstormers website. Wasn't someone looking for some on this site a month or so ago?. Ron

Yes, I think James Sledge or James Scheler, I forgot which one, was looking at a damaged plane that needed wing work. I don't know if it was bought. I wonder why Clay didn't buy new wings instead of trying to rebuild his?? Maybe he will chime in...

I was, but I did not get the crash damaged C175 project I was looking at. Still looking for an interesting project to work on and waiting for the grass strip to dry out enough to fly my 58 C175.

The wings on Barnstormers are $9,950. The freight would be close to a thousand dollars. The price is at least $6,000 too high.
I missed a complete set of wings for less than $5,000 a while back.
My neighbor, an IA at Boeing Wichita, and I are planning to build a wing jig.
We are still in the design phase.
He has several wings he needs to rebuild.
Since my wings are in good condition, except for some corrosion, the wings will be used for a location templet.

There's a guy here in Los Alamos, NM - Jim Spach - that has a pair of 175 wings. He was going to put them on a C170 but could not find any test or engineering data to help get a field approval. I think he has given up the idea since he can't get the FAA on board. He may be willing to sell them. Try our airport manager, Bruce Hudspeth, to get in touch with Jim. Bruce's email is lamairport@aol.com
