Still have fingers crossed to get N7488M back tomorrow! Plan on leaving KADM, with Kris, early Sunday morning, with first leg to K89 (Macon-Fowler, IA). That is 392 NM, so if we have a little tailwind, that will be easy, and if no TW still doable. Checked 100LL there, and it reports $4.22.
Could go direct to OSH from there (309 NM), but Madison airspace right on route, so navigating around that, would require a little more distance. Would have about 15 gals fuel left upon arrival. I am thinking about another stop at Dodge County, Juneau, WI, for more fuel, so upon arrival would have 3 to 4 hours of fuel left.
Does anyone have any pros or cons about that plan? Since I am not familiar with that route, it may be that stopping at Juneau would be a bad idea. Alternative suggestions welcome!

You might want to try the AOPA Real-Time Flight Planner. This is a neat way to plan routes. You can pull the route line and adjust the route. Many other advantages also. I like the zoom in feature.
www.airnav.com is an easy way to find out fuel prices and plan routes.

Thanks, I did all that. That's how I planned the route, but since I am not familiar with Juneau, WI, maybe somebody has a better alternative.

Bobby,

I've been to Juneau, WI early this spring. It's a nice airport although probably not the cheapest fuel around, but it's a nice place to stop. However, if you need to eat there, try somewhere else, there's nothing near there except for the vending machine meal unless you've packed your own lunch.

Have a nice flight.
