Before I order a new one, does anyone have a good spare laying around? Mine is looking shabby and my annual is due this month so what better time to replace it!

I can be reached via email jim@cessna175.org

Mine was damaged, and I looked everywhere for one, and couldn't find one, except ordering from Cessna, and the price was outrageous. In the hundreds. I had mine repaired by a guy that does aluminum welding. After that, I found one on ebay, and bought it for $40.00. I guess I'll keep it though, for future use.

I have my old one. It is not in excellent shape, though usable. Shabby is a good description. If I were looking I'd call wentworth and all the other salvages.

Mine is worn out aswell... but is you saw my plane you would realise that was the least of my concerns. I have some conections; if you would like me to get you a price on a new one let me know. All I will need is your year and S/N.

I ended up fixing mine. We fabricated a doubler and riveted it to the inside and drilled out the hole. It worked great and the cost was less than removing the old part and reinstalling the new one.

Thanks for the offer though!
