Well as everyone might know on my project of floatplane i have decided to go with Stoots Aviation IO-360 200HP Engine conversion. I will try to give as much information possible so if anyone is interested then there will be a lot in picture and infos. Kit has been order about 3 weeks ago and parts are already coming. I have decided to go with the IO-360A1B6 200HP. Maybe my other choice would had be the IO-390 but for Canada it might take few more months after approuval in the USA. I will keep you informed of the latest and as well in my Gallery

Norman I thought you were experimental?? Why do you need an STC?

Craig Keppers
Norman,

Congrats on your decision. I think it is a wise choise. If I was building one up I would likely go the same way. I wish I had that extra 20HP on floats. I think it would make a huge difference.

What are you going to use for a prop?

Craig,

Buy the powerflow exhaust if you get a chance. It will help.

Too much restriction for me in Canada under this class OMC so i decided to keep it certified. Dave is getting me all the goodies for my engine and the STC. Am trying to keep everything to the minimum. Basic avionics, flight instruments and engine instruments. The rest has to be payload I will post picture of the conversion in my gallery when things will arrived

How about original? Perhaps change the polished aluminum for This stuff:

I checked this stuff out and there is no approved processes for application. They also could not tell me how it would be on aluminum for long term.
Erik Hoopes
Yes, I know. "sigh". Sounds like we need to do some field testing, eh? wub.gif

Craig, I can Fuel inject your engine to the IO-360M1B model Lycoming engine under my STC. That would give you about 15 hp and better fuel burn too. 907-590-5559
