Is anyone aware of a revision on the service bulletin on inspecting the engine mounts? My Cessna 175 is in annual inspection, and I was told of a revision that came out, requiring some bolts to be replaced.
If anyone has any experience with the inspection of the engine mounts, let me know how it went, how many hours were involved, and any other details. I want to make sure things are going the right way.

Took me about 8 hours (+ another 4 of someone elses help at the same time) to replace all four engine mount brackets and all hardware. The service bulletin requires using new hardware to comply. The job wasn't all that difficult.

Yes, just order the new bolts, nuts, and washers from the parts book in advance. Lets, see

AN6-35A qty 2 bolts
AN6-47A qty2 bolts
AN960-616 qty 8 washers
0550156 qty 4 (I don't know if you have to change these large washers)
MS20365-624C NUTS

These are all the hardware holding on the mount

If you change the 4 bolts, nuts and An washers it should be good. The dimension of the 0550156 washers didn't change, so if they are in good shape I wouldn't change them.

Thanks guys! I will be able to pick up the parts at Lubbock Aero, where I am doing my flight training at on the Cessna 206 and Astar. Now, the bad part. My engine had been running great, purring like a kitten. I have not flown the 175 much since I have been doing many hours of flight training at work. I had the oil changed, and flew a few hours with no problems. I had been watching the one cylinder that had been testing around 58 on the compression. All the other cylinders had been testing 68-70. And now all of a sudden, I have a cylinder that tested 30, and one tested 40, which managed to come up to 50 after the valve was lapped. And there may be a crack in a valve too. How in the world did all this go wrong?? Is it from the plane sitting too long without being flown? Good thing it was time for my annual inspection, because I could have had an engine failure the next time I were to fly it. I'll be sending the cylinders off to be overhauled. I hope I can get things done, and be worry free before Oshkosh.

Check out the TCM SB on compression testing below. Isn't it amazing that things break when you do not use them. When you do the compression test where is it leaking from, exhaust system, carburetor/intake, or oil filler/breather?
