I recently joined but don't yet have an account. My grandfather and I have a 61 Skylark that we are doing the Park O-470 conversion on. The new engine is in the process of a major overhaul and will be completed in a few weeks. There are a few things that I need help getting information on. The cowl for my 61 from what I understand is too narrow and with a hump not needed for the O-470-J. From what I understand the bottom half of the cowl will be fine and I just need the top half from an older 175 before they put the hump in the later models. Does anyone have top of the cowl they would be willing to trade or sell or know where I could find one? If not has anyone modified their cowl successfully to fit the conversion?
I'm also interested if anyone knows of any good engine mount builders that have already built this mount.
Thanks.
