Well, after nearly three years (one of which I was away on military duty and was not able to do anything) I flew N6660E on Saturday for the first time! Of course I was not the first to fly her, the mechanic I am working with has flown her after all the work that we put in her. Now I am training with her and she flies very well. My first time up was kinda choppy because it was a windy day but we managed well and I am looking forward to flying as often as I can.

Congratulations on this great achievement.
Could you post the equipment and a story about the restoration. Post any photos before, during and the finished aircraft.
I am sure others will be excited to review your accomplishment.
One last important thing...Thank you for your service to the country.

Thanks guys, your kind words are appreciated and as always it is my pleasure to serve. I have a great and rewarding job on the military side (reservist).

I will put something together for a post but I have submitted some pictures of her for the airplane of the month including the story. We'll have to wait to see if I get picked. In the mean time I will say that this is a project I am working with my Wife's Grandfather. We got the airplane after some severe damage and put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
