Has anyone on here tried out the Wing X STOL on a 175, or any other A/C for that matter? It is certified in Canada for a GW increase up to 2500 for a 175. I contacted the company and they are hoping to have FAA certification by summer 2010. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has used this mod and can attest to the company's claims.

Mark just met the president of that company 2 weeks ago his name is Paul Caban. I did ask about mine (C-FOON) for GW increase. It will go to probabelly 2700lbs on wheel could get more than 2500 on floats due to unavailibility of higher GW float (ex 2650-2800)available but he said that the wing will handle more but due to safety % it will be decrease to a safer limit. For me he said that i shoould get better performances,

I like the idea from what Ive seen are they pursuing a US STC?

There are a couple 206 running around with them on. I have heard throught the grape vine they work well, especially for floats.

The Rumor is they were STC'd in Canada and after the FAA looked at it refused to honor the gross weight on some models. Trans Can revoked the gross weight increase until further data comes for supporting the weights.

Good thing airplanes can't read. LOL
