Good afternoon.
I've been looking at the C-175 website and a C-175 is for sale in the san antonio where I live. On the surface it seems like a "good price" (22K) with TTAF 1737 and 472 SMOH. A call to the seller (who is selling it for someone else) revealed no additional information other than it has the GO-300 engine.

Other than the engine bracket AD, can you offer and big ticket items to look for particular to the C-175 (such as new cylinders were used during the overhaul?

Thank you for your help.

Tim, you want to know what type and what company did the cylinders for sure, also check for corrosion at all the seams, and at the wing attachment bolts. Has it been hangered the whole time or outside? You really NEED to do a good pre buy on it.
I really enjoy my 175-B, but I went back and looked at it 4 times, and went through the logs every time I went back, and then did a extensive pre buy on it. of course that counted as an annual also the way I had it done. I stayed with it and checked every thing I could see or touch from nose to tail.
Check inside the wings, the cables, pullies, etc....everything...before you make a decision. If it is a really nice airplane and you really want it, make a list of the squawks and what you would accept to pay for and what you want the owner to pay for.
Then do a test flight with the owner and make sure she is flying true...not out of rig. make sure instruments/radios work as supposed to.

This takes time and money from you, but you will be much happier with yourself and about your decision this way.
GOOD LUCK
let me know if you get her...thanks
