So the 175 needs some new rubber. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with the re-treads that Desser Tire and Rubber Company markets? www.desser.com

They are less than half the price of new Michelins or Goodyears, and the company claims that 95% of airlines run them.

We run retreads all the time on the DC-6s at work. Don't have any problems with them. Airlines do use them all the time. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
